A bunch of nerds asked, “What if?”
What if computing power was absurdly cheap? What if we had access to clusters 10x or 100x the size of those currently available? What if all the processors on Earth were available to rent? What if we commoditized both sides of cloud computing: the usage, and the provision of compute time?
What kinds of problems could be solved with an absurdly large, absurdly cheap compute cluster?
Unoceros was founded in 2012 by Devin Elliot and Brian Godsey.
What we do
Unoceros built a high performance computing solution using the idle CPU cycles of mobile devices. We are optimizing existing hardware and providing a new way to compute that’s greener in addition to being cheaper. Our computing platform is ideal for massively-parallel, compute-intensive tasks ranging from optimization to simulation to machine learning to bioinformatics.
